Small Arms Blitzed and No Pinatas December 10, 2006

Major Nelson released another week of the Xbox Live top titles. Gears of War has beat Halo and held the spot for a month now. It was shocking to all how Small Arms was #3 but this year Blitz (who will be reviewed soon) from Roboblitz took down the Small Arms crew to move to #5 and push Small Arms to #10 overall. Notice though that Viva Pinata is missing from the list. It is a fantastic title (9.0 from me), while it is cutesy it equals The Sims in terms of play and betters it. The cartoon show averages about 800,000 viewers a week so you would think more would play it. Let’s hope it is just casual gamers not connected to Xbox Live because Microsoft certainly has a hit franchise for kids in Viva Pinata and a ton of depth for adults. Here are the three lists the Major compiles every week with demos still on top and Rainbows moving up.

The reason Viva Pinata XBL play is so low is because you can only do one thing – swap pinata. And personally, I prefer attracting them myself.

If you like the game buddy, you should come here – http://www.vivapinataforum.com

I thought it just meant the amount of people logged into Live while playing, everyone logs into live to play. The swapping has nothing to do with it I thought.
