UPDATE: Apparently this is not true. Mistranslation, sorry folks – we all make mistakes now and then. I’ll further translate and research a bit better next time.

Sony has been losing a lot of exclusive titles lately and now are losing the PS2 exclusives Okami and Godhand from Capcom according to a recently released document on Capcom’s web site, which can be found here. It is good news for Xbox 360 owners, and Okami will look even better on Xbox 360. Capcom has certainly been showing Xbox 360 a lot of love.

It has also been announced that From Software’s Armored Core 4, which is currently released on the PS3 in Japan, will release on Xbox 360 March 22nd in Japan and will contain many extras. The move was made by From Software so they could make money on the game, as the PS3 does not have enough units to make a good amount of profit on a title. The game’s publisher Sega will bring this game to America by the end of 2007. This is the first Armored Core title to appear on Xbox 360.

Sony you have just lost three more exclusives, I don’t care because I’m a 360 owner so thanks for screwing up!

I used Google and Babelsifh to translate the document:
Google gives me this sentence:
First for the Xbox 360™ which is sold in 2007 beginning ‘the lost planet’ in the start, ‘large God’
And ‘we plan the sale of God Hand’.

Babelfish gives me tis:
First Xbox 360 which is sold in 2007 beginning? For ‘ lost planet ‘ in the start, ‘ large God ‘
And ‘ God Hand ‘ we plan sale.

It’s just one sentence about Gd Hand but I think it’s enough, they’re going to sell it on Xbox360

Do not tell a lie, and it informs. Apologize at once.
When selling it by “Australia” and “New Zealand”, this press release is written that United States Activision Co. was connected with business tie-up.
“LOST PLANET” of Xbox360, “Okami” of PS2, and “Godhand” are sold from Activision by “Australia” and “New Zealand”.

It was announced that ARMORED CORE 4 of FROM SOFTWARE was sold from the beginning with PS3 and Xbox360.
In FROM SOFTWARE, you who is not announcing any difference between the Xbox360 version and the PS3 version of ARMORED CORE 4 are a liar.
Do you do for stock price manipulation? It reports to the company.

As post said, you are wrong.

I don’t care about the console wars but you should care about your 360 fanboy friends using your info in the daily flame war. They will look retarded. Thanks to you.

He dicho.

Hey DPC, you redesign this site all by yourself? Not bad.

As for the post, jumped the gun bro.

6. newmw - December 27, 2006

The PS3 must get a good boost at the beginning (either through available games or available systems, I guess) to ever secure their share of the market. The days of the PS1/2 reign are far behind us now.

7. rashadlogic - December 27, 2006

I also heard that the PS3 could lose Devil May Cry 4 to the Xbox 360. I’m not sure how “legit” the source was, but if it was to be true, that’ll be a major blow to the PS3.

I mean, shit, they already lost Grand Theft Auto series to the Xbox too.

8. dpcough - December 27, 2006

Sorry everyone but the PS3 is apparently losing Devil May Cry 4 I’ll agree, during a survey I took it was asked my thoughts of it being a PS3 exclusive and alot about would you buy it if it was released on 360, and MGS4 rumors are everywhere.

9. B33 - December 27, 2006

You jumped the gun. Your attempt to bash Sony has failed…

10. B33 - December 27, 2006

“Sorry everyone but the PS3 is apparently losing Devil May Cry 4 I’ll agree, during a survey I took it was asked my thoughts of it being a PS3 exclusive and alot about would you buy it if it was released on 360, and MGS4 rumors are everywhere.”

Do you even use your common sense? Why would Capcom put a series that has been exclusive to the Playstation since day one, on the 360 when none of the Xbox owners have even played the first three? Wishful thinking does not count as the truth. And MGS 4 is a Ps3 exclusive. Stop telling lies to discredit the PS3.

11. Wickedashtray - December 28, 2006

The Armored Core info isn’t honest. AC4 has been coming to the 360 since day one. The only change is that the game was finally dated for 360 release in March ’07. I far prefer my 360 over PS3 but if you want to garner trust and more readership you have to be brutally honest with yourself and your readership. Console wars are fun and subtly encouraged can bring lively discussion to a site but ham-fisted attempts at creating controversy is insulting. People aren’t stupid.

And “Post”, more babelfish translations please, I can’t get enough 😉

12. dpcough - December 28, 2006

I’m not trying to discredit PS3 but MGS4 rumors are everywhere, I didn’t say it wasn’t an exclusive. I didn’t say anything about Armored core recently being announced for 360, it is just common sense that ps3 does not have enough units to make a profit.

I’m just gonna stop talking so I don’t talk myself into more trouble and get more angry with me, lol. We all make mistakes! Happy Holidays everyone!

Um, Grand Theft Auto, anyone?

Don’t forget Virtua Fighter!

Uh, another XBOX propaganda site. Reminds me of the conservative Bush bots.

23. Why bother - January 4, 2007

“and Okami will look even better on the 360”

this is why Microsoft will be the end all of all that is artistic. Okami looked perfect on the PS2 because of the style of the Sumi-e. Not because the system was incapable of providing that extra dark contrast and reflection that is available on next gen systems (which, by the way, if you are in reality, reflections on cars do not reflect the world like a mirror; and faces of people don’t have dark black shadows when hit with sunlight)

This is the problem with all the next gen systems (maybe excluding the wii), where detail (like rendering the crowd of a baseball stadium so that you can see the face of the person in the nosebleed section, which is impossible for the human eye) takes precedance over the artwork. More polygons don’t make a better experience. Super Mario Bros. was amazing… I don’t care that I can’t see the nosehairs of Luigi.

To all those that tried to put off the DMC4 going to the 360 as well:
eat your own fanboy words now.
