Minds and needs and wait that’s Stupid! January 16, 2007Posted by dpcough in Xbox/ Xbox 360 General.
Joystiq is reporting how Researchers are just now realizing that video games may fulfill psychological needs like autonomy, competence, and relatedness. University of Rochester and Immersyve Inc. investigators have determined that it’s not just a shallow sense of fun that enables the so-called gaming addiction.
That’s stupid. Sure video gaming certainly does make you satisfied when you are done but here is a question. What is better – wasting an hour or two a day watching TV or playing a video game? I challenge a researcher to go study that. Researchers need to stop and enjoy a game or two. Just have fun and relax. Some may be a bit different when it comes to gaming (I learned that when I camped out for the Wii with how goofy some people can be) but in the end, play a video game and have fun.
It’s stupid for all these analzyes or whatever you wanna call them. Just stop, I know I’m fine when it comes to video games and don’t over indulge if that is a new study term. Are you?
