Everyone is tired of WWII games, right? Well Call of Duty 4 comes out this holiday season bringing another WWII Game…. no it’s not World War II! Just like OXM stated over a year ago, it’s Modern Warfare with a worldwide reveal taking place on April 28 during the NFL Draft. Call Of Duty 3 was more of a game to make money on quickly and was developed by Treyach, this is developed by Infinity Ward, creators of Call of Duty 2. So it is Infinity Ward’s sequel to Call of Duty 2. Hopefully this is a great change for the franchise, I watch the NFL Draft anyway so know I even get more to watch during that day. So who’s ready for Call of Duty Modern Warfare?

Remember the Marvel Ultimate Alliance VIP Experience I gave a lot of invites out for? Well I’m doing it again with Activision’s next community site for Spiderman 3. I have 19 invites left, one already gotten taken. If you want an invite to the Spiderman 3 community please leave a comment with your e-mail address or send me an e-mail at dpradio365[@]gmail.com (address like that so no spam comes through.)

The community for Marvel Ultimate Alliance was a good experience and this will be again with prizes! Get an invite before they are all gone, when I run out ask another member who gets one as they will have 20 to give out when they join.

MS Not Allowing Guitar Hero II To Be Wireless??? November 8, 2006

According to a report at T3, Microsoft is not allowing Red Octane to produce a Wireless Guitar Controller for the Xbox 360. When the PS2 and PS3 Wireless controller was announced I felt that one would soon be announced for Xbox 360 but Microsoft is not allowing Red Octane to.

“[Microsoft] aren’t allowing 3rd party manufacturers to make anything at the moment….so until they allow us to do so, we aren’t able to.”

Hopefully we end up seeing one as the PS3 and PS2 are going to have one. A wireless controller will add more fun the to experience of Guitar Hero II. Microsoft is being arrogant by not allowing Red Octane to. I support Microsoft almost all the time but we need to rock out wirelessly. Please.

Guitar Hero Wireless on PS2, Could We Get It? October 27, 2006

Today Activision sent me a press release with how Guitar Hero II on the PS2 will have a wireless controller sold separately for $59.99 and it will be modeled similar to the Xbox 360 one with the white colors. Could we be getting one also? I think we probably will when Guitar Hero comes out, let’s hope! From Activision press Release:

“RedOctane(R), a leading rhythm-action videogame publisher, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq:ATVI), today announced that starting this Fall fans will be able to shred with a wireless guitar controller that will be compatible with Guitar Hero(TM) and Guitar Hero II(TM) on the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system. The wireless guitar controller will be available starting in November at a suggested retail price of $59.99.

Displaying a new glossy white finish, the wireless guitar controller will provide Guitar Hero fans a thrilling experience of rocking out like never before. While utilizing the same innovative features and quality of the wired Guitar Hero SG(R) Controller, the opportunity to pull off killer riffs and five star performances will allow players to continue fulfilling their ultimate rock star fantasy. “

I suspected Guitar Hero would be for Xbox 360 also this coming Fall or early next year and today Activision’s CEO Robert Kotick stated that Guitar Hero would be on “every significant new platform.” It isn’t official but expecting an official announcement soon. I knew it made sense, they want more money and will with Xbox Live Marketplace song downloads. Maybe AC/DC will get into the game that way!

World Series of Poker September 19, 2006

World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions releases very soon and has some cool features that work with the Xbox Live Vision Cam for face mapping. I’m really happy about this feature, especially since the game is a mere $39.99. I rather buy this then the $10 Hold Em’ Arcade Game. Read more for the full press release.

Quote On Vision Cam Details (from what I have previewed it looks like good technology):

“The Xbox360(TM) version of the game features DigiMask facial mapping technology, which allows players to map their face directly onto their in-game character. In addition, expanded LIVE! and online capabilities offer multi-table tournaments for the hottest poker action and the ability to actually read opponent’s tells with Vision and EyeToy(TM) camera peripherals. ”
