I wanted to let everyone know about a new clothing line I was contacted about. It’s a new upcoming gaming clothing line set to debut on July 7, 2007 7-7-07. The company is called Last Action Gamer. The people at Last Action Gamer decided to set a mission:

“The mission of LXG is to build a bridge between the gaming community and mainstream society. We believe our innovation will truly allow gamers to say “I am proud to be a Gamer!”

Right now for details you can visit here. Leading up to the launch there will be 48 Hour Online Launch Event and many more promotions with details coming soon.

Expanding the community aspect of Xbox Live today Microsoft sent me an e-mail about the contest that started today Xbox Live Originals. Aspiring directors must create a five to fifteen minute comedy pilot. Several will be choosen and we will get to vote for which show to be made into a six episode mini-series exclusive to the Xbox Live Marketplace. The winner will get $100,000 to produce the episodes. For those aspiring directors click here for the details on the contest.

The team over at OEDB (Online Education Database) sent me an e-mail about a guide to entering the Video Game Industry as a career. It’s is one of the better guides out there and best of all it’s free. If you ever want to enter the Video Game Industry you should give it a read by clicking here. I’ve never read any guides and this was my first. I like this one part in the guide the best:

Participate in forums and start a gamer blog. You can also learn a lot about the gaming industry through gamer Web sites or blogs and even more if you start one. If you’re an experienced gamer, you probably are passionate about this industry, and that’s one attribute that commercial game developers want in an employee. Try to write in complete sentences and use correct grammar as you communicate in forums and blogs, as this writing experience will help you if you plan to go to the top of the game development ladder.

I can check myself off there, video game career here I come in a few years well…. if I knew programming and I lot more.

Guitar Hero II Petition April 12, 2007

The community of Xbox 360 Gaming is striking back again with a Guitar Hero II petition about the high price of songs. So go ahead, sign away and join the boycott. Do not buy any of the songs on Xbox Live Marketplace for Guitar Hero II. At 500 Microsoft Points for three songs it’s not worth it.

Today the creators of Red Vs. Blue announced the series of Halo inspired Characters, The Blood Gulch Chronicles will come to a close soon. The series is approaching its 100th Episode and then the series will end. Don’t get mad, they said they will then think about further plans in the coming months. Could we see a new series launch when Halo 3 does? Will you miss the characters of the RVB series once it ends? At least it will go out strong and 100 Episodes.

Congrats to the new Xbox MVP Mike Pacheo from The Xbox Domain. Without him this site would still be small and no developer interviews. He was the one who gave me my big break and he definetly deserved the award. Congratulations Mike! Hopefully Microsoft wasn’t playing an April Fools joke on him.

Pretty nice Xbox 360 I’d say above, it’s only $925 if you want it. I wonder what Halo hardcore will pick it up, it looks nice though.

User mods are nice but it’d be nice to see a new Black Xbox 360 from Microsoft, right? Well a Chinese guy in Xbox 360 City in China (a.k.a. Big Area where Chinese get paid a $1 an hour to do work that in America we’d get $8) snapped up some pictures of the Black Xbox 360s in production, so now – when will it be announced? Here is one of the shots, see the rest here courtesy of 360Fanboy’s findings.

Click here and read. I’m trying to test this out with Live Gamer readers to see how you guys respond. If the response is great other sites will pick up on it. It’s on Matchmaking and Xbox Live, I summed it up in one sentence on the petition. Please check it out, and if you agree sign it. Spread the word!
