A little while back here at Live Gamer I broke the news and said Halo 3 will release during the week of September 23 – 30 of 2007. Many doubted it but today Microsoft made a groundbreaking annoucement and announced it will release on Tuesday September 25, 2007 in the United States and on Wednesday September 26, 2007 in Europe. Peter Moore stated, “On Sept. 25, we intend to deliver a finale that will go down in entertainment history and leave people around the world with an experience that will be shared and enjoyed for years to come.”

The Halo 3 beta starts today at 8 A.M. EST. In the annoucement was the Halo 3 Zune would release next month and will be loaded with loaded with a collection of “Halo” content, including videos, soundtracks, trailers, ads and artwork. It will even have an exclusive episode of Red Vs. Blue. The Zune will only be available at Gamestop. The whole press release is after the break for those who want the small details. September 25 will go down in entertainment history and a day with many gamers lined up to purchase Halo 3 at midnight.

With the Halo 3 beta less than 11 hours away now, it starts at 8 A.M. Eastern Time tommorow Bungie has released a guide on all you need to know with the beta. It is like a manual for the beta straight from Bungie. Click here to access it.

The beta is only 11 hours away. I’m excited but I do have to move some stuff around because my Xbox 360 isn’t connected to Xbox Live after the big flood I experienced. It’s amazing what I’d do for Halo, spend some time to move some stuff around just to play it. Look for some previews like I stated before for all unfortunate not enough to own an Xbox 360 but who will buy one when Halo 3 is released in Fall 2007. Get ready, it’s almost time.

Those guys over at Bungie sure are creative. Here’s one of the medals in Halo 3, I bet Cheney wishes he could hit ten birds in a row, not people.

It’s less than two days until the Halo 3 Beta. Look for previews of it for all the visitors who don’t have Xbox 360 and people who don’t own Crackdown or a Halo 3 beta ticket.

Halo 3 is Big, MTV Covers It May 14, 2007

So how do you know a game is huge? I know how a game is huge, if it sells over a million copies at least and generates some hype for it. Sure Gears of War went all well and great but Microsoft has sold over seven million copies of Halo 2 so who’s to say this new game called Halo 3 is gonna be huge when it comes out?

According to Gamestop it has sold over 4 Million Pre-orders! The game is getting huge hype because the beta releases this Wednesday and it is being covered everywhere. Gamers of course pay attention but even MTV is paying attention to this huge game by giving it a story on their website even. While MTV does cover video games it generally only covers big ones and MTV is very MAINSTREAM meaning Halo 3 will be huge.

This game will bring in over 100 million on day one, there’s a prediction for you. It sold over 125 Million for Halo 2 meaning 100 million will be an easy haul. Anyone think Halo 3 could hit 200 Million on Day One? It could and maybe will with its $129 Legendary Edition.

Right now it’s time to wait because in less than two days it is time to play Halo 3 in beta mode.

The first game to features Games for Windows Live Halo 2 has been delayed until May 22, 2007. The ship date was originally scheduled to be May 8, 2007 to make some improvements for the installation process and address a few issues. Is anyone going to purchase this? It has significant upgrades over Xbox’s Halo 2 but my computer can’t run it. Remember you need Windows Vista which I just got today from the Upgrade Redemption Center. Should I install it or keep XP?

Halo 3 Beta May 16 April 10, 2007

UPDATE 1 – Fixed Title, was a template from a long time ago, fixed now!

Microsoft Game Studios and Bungie Studios today confirmed the multiplayer beta of “Halo® 3” will debut to audiences worldwide via Xbox LIVE® on May 16 at 5 a.m. PDT and run through June 6 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. Coming exclusively to the Xbox 360™ console this fall, “Halo 3” is the highly anticipated third chapter in the groundbreaking “Halo” trilogy from legendary developers Bungie. “Halo 3” lets gamers experience Master Chief’s greatest battle as he launches an epic mission to stop the Covenant, destroy the impending Flood threat and ultimately save mankind.

When gamers gather online to play the multiplayer beta via Xbox LIVE in May, they will be treated to three richly detailed, action-oriented maps: Snowbound, High Ground and Valhalla, which represent a mixture of large- and medium-scale combat environments and are brand-new to “Halo 3.” Each map will test gamers’ mettle as they are placed behind the controls of new “Halo 3” vehicles such as the agile Mongoose all-terrain vehicle, and armed with deadly weapons such as the new and improved Assault Rifle, the ferocious Brute Spiker, the devastating Spartan Laser and the treacherous new Spike Grenades (no pistol, darn!). This is just a taste of what gamers will experience later this fall when “Halo 3” goes on sale.

Halo 3 is nearly here, any Xbox gamers ready to make the jump to Xbox 360? I have Crackdown and will be ready for the beta on May 16!
