Here are some screenshots of the Tony Hawk’s Proving Grounds. From the screens it looks like there is a video editor and mini park editor. Hopefully it will be a good contender to EA’s Skate.

Here are some of the first screenshots of Postal 3. This is Postal’s first appearance on a console and if you are unfamiliar with Postal games think GTA with no cars and much much more blood. If it is anything like Postal 2 this could be a VERY controversial game.

New Gears Update March 31, 2007

A new update will be released for Gears of War soon. Here are the details from Mark Rein over at the Gears of War forums,

“The next title update for Gears of War is currently going through the certification process. We’ll have more detail about the update next week but I can tell you that in addition to fixing a whole bunch of glitches, and providing 720p for VGA users running at 1280×1024, it will contain a brand new multiplayer gametype called Annex.

Some folks who got to play it a few weeks ago said they think it is our best multiplayer gametype yet but I’ll leave it for you fans to decide what you think for yourself when it shows up soon on Xbox Live. More details next week.”

Hopefully there are the new maps and weapons we rumored a bit ago. A new game type is true so whos not to say the weapons and maps aren’t either?

While this is not official and it was believed by me to be announced later this month www.ign.com has picked up that in a press release by a car company, they put “design a car for PGR4, a new Xbox 360 title by Bizzare Creations”. While there are no screens or news we know it is coming. Expect an announcement at TGS or the Tokyo Game Show.

Many people were pleased last spring when a Dashboard update came out on the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live. It is well known how Microsoft listens to its consumers unlike other companies and admits mistakes. They admitted the Xbox 360 failure rate was only 3-5%, and they have always listened back as evidenced by last Dashboard update. Now they want to know what you want on the next dashboard update here. What do you want? Want multi chat, have a super cool idea? Go tell it.

PS3 Stumbles in Europe Until 2007 September 6, 2006

In Europe at E3 Sony announced it was doing a three region launch of the PS3 just like Microsoft did. Today they announced that they won’t because in Europe you won’t be able to buy a PS3 until March 2007. “Blue laser diode issues” are citied as the reason of delay. Sony also stated that they project about 400,000 units will be out for the North American launch and 100,000 in Japan and they also plan to ship only 2 million by the end of the year and six million by the end of 2007 fiscal year. OUCH! Huge hit for Sony, with the Wii expected to be out by the dozens and Microsoft forcasting a heavy amount of Xbox 360s for Christmas Sony could fall far behind considering Assassain’s Creed isn’t exclusive no more either. Ah… Sony why have you messed up so much recently?

What do you think of the delay? Go ahead and comment away.

EA Announces Changing Ads in Games September 1, 2006

Today EA Announced that Need For Speed: Carbon will feature in game changing Ads for PC owners and users connected to Xbox Live. What could one day be a movie ad could the next day be a bubble gum ad. EA is partnering with Microsoft’s Massive to use the in game ads. In a driving game it makes it a bit more realistic for maybe a billboard as long as they are not everywhere, but hopefully it doesn’t mean more ads in the Fight Night series. Do you think this is good for games or not? Comment or e-mail.

Nintendo to Punk Us? August 30, 2006

I am a huge fan of the Xbox 360 and own one since day one of the console launch cycle and am a Nintendo fan planning to get a Wii when it comes out. A recent report states Nintendo is going to show us much better graphics on the 14th of September and punk us all and show awesome horsepower of the Wii. It is interesting since they say to know from inside sources. This has been floating around the internet, especially when Reggie said the Wii’s graphics will look nice. Hum… I wasn’t invited to that even but I wonder and I have reason to believe the graphics will be better and Nintendo tricked us.

XNA for Everyone August 14, 2006

Late last night or early morning, however you look at it, right before the start of the yearly Microsoft Gamefest Microsoft announced a huge, amazing announcement. XNA Game Studio Express will be availble for all with a Windows XP Computer in beta testing on August 30th, 2006. It will be the first PC to 360 system. Users will be able to make games for their PC then port to their 360. In Spring 2007 a XNA Game Studio Pro version will come out which will start Community Arcade, where you will be able to sell your titles on Xbox 360. But what about hacks and viruses? Microsoft isn’t ready to get to that yet but Microsoft’s tools give them a huge advantage over competitors as it is the only console with the tools. In a Three Console and One PC marketplace the possibilities between the PC and Xbox 360 are huge – It is now the YouTube of games. So will you be making anything or have plans to? E-mail your thoughts to dpradio365@gmail.com or comment and have them read over the show one episode.

As we all know the Zune is coming this fall but is most likely an audio only device. But in the future a gaming one could come also. Bungie has stated they are working on another project for a long time, a little birdie tells me its a scaled down version of Halo for Zune for portable fun. EGM also has the rumor in it when I was looking through it. I didn’t want to post it but I had to so Halo Portable I can’t wait.
