Shipping Out: Pirates May 20, 2007

This week there are three titles shipping to stores for the Xbox 360. The first is a recycled edition of Marvel Ultimate Alliance in Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold. It doesn’t state what extras are in it but my guess is downloadable content. Then there’s WarTech: Senko no Ronde, it’s a Japanese mech title. Then there’s Pirates of the Caribbean At World’s End which is a movie licensed game so it will suck but looks to be better then most titles for movie games. All titles are scheduled to ship out 5/22/07 in the United States.

The maps are called Tombstone and Desolation, both maps are from the first Halo but recieved updated graphics. So who is buying the maps out there when they release April 17?

Sorry Shipping Out wasn’t posted on Saturday as usual to show you the upcoming week in games. This week there is only one game shipping out for Xbox 360 compared to eight last week. This week’s lone title to be shipped out there is Disney’s Meet the Robinsons which many traditional gamers will not prefer but if it has the same success as Cars and Disney’s other titles it should be one of the top ten in the industry this year.

The other two to fill in the void of only one hard disc is the expansion to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Shivering Isles. The new area costs 2400 Microsoft Points a.k.a. $30 U.S. Dollars. It has over 30 hours of content and if you buy it you’ll be able to get more from it.

A suprise release on the list is Rare’s Jetpac Refuelled rocketing onto Xbox Live Marketplace with 128 Levels and unlike most retro releases had a complete graphic overhaul instead of making old pixels more colorful and is worth the price of 400 Microsoft Points, look for a review on the title. Normally I post no screenshots and go all boxart after the titles but this week there is only one boxart so I put pictures throughout it. This week is a lot more calmer but is solid for March, next week is…. GUITAR HERO II!!!

Shipping Out: Crap Week March 18, 2007

This week the titles shipping out for Xbox 360 are very easy to sum up, all crap. Some titles are budget priced in Tetris Evolution (the game that should’ve been an arcade game) at $30. This week I included every game’s price because only one game was the 360 standard of $60 in the Japanese game Armored Core 4, which by the way had horrible reviews. Then there’s some game called Earth Defense Force 2017, the game was localized so good that there is Japanese writing still on the cover! Well it’s an exclusive, no wonder the Japanese think the 360 is crap with games like Earth Defense Force 2017.

Well there is one game from EA, that is also $60. It’s some European sport called futbol, as known in America as soccer. There is also another sports game in Virtua Tennis 3, go try the demo before you buy – I could only beat the AI one time so have fun. Then there’s a kiddie game in TMNT, some people think it is good but have caution buying it. The only game that is a good game to be confident in purchasing is an XBLA title in Castlevania this week. I also included the fact that an official Viva Pinata strategy guide releases this week because some pinatans are still playing it a lot and need to unlock more pinatas. Buy at your own risk this week during Crappy Xbox 360 titles week.

  1. Tetris Evolution – $29.99 – March 19, 2007
  2. Armored Core 4 – $59.99 – March 20, 2007
  3. Earth Defense Force 2017 – $39.99 – March 20, 2007
  4. TMNT – $49.99 – March 20, 2007
  5. UEFA Championships League 2006 – 2007 – $59.99 – March 20, 2007
  6. Virtua Tennis 3 – $49.99 – March 20, 2007
  7. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night – 800 Microsoft Points – March 21, 2007 XBLA
  8. Viva Pinata Official Strategy Guide – $16.99 – March 23, 2007

What’s shipping out this week? This week there is a disappointment with only one title and it isn’t even new. This week’s only title shipping out is Call of Duty 3 Gold Edition. I’m not exactly sure what’s in it. No PR has ever been sent out on it but if it is like Call of Duty 2’s special edition it will most likely just have some tokens for free multiplayer maps. An arcade game will release this week also but it is unknown as what it will be yet. This week is better then next week’s crap list of games that I’ll post next week. Here’s the date and only title shipping out:

Call of Duty 3 Gold Edition – March 13, 2007

What do we have to followup the week with four titles releasing? This week there are two titles that will be shipping to retailers in America. Both titles release on March 6, 2007. First off is the sequel to a million copy seller GRAW 2. The other title releasing will be a title that has the environment act to your iPod with Def Jam Icon. Both games have demos out on Xbox Live Marketplace so try them out before you buy. Is your wallet broke from last week? Probably not, no one bought Bullet Witch or the other titles it seems like. Will it get some money taken out this week for GRAW 2 though?

  1. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 – March 6, 2007
  2. Def Jam: Icon – March 6, 2007

Shipping Out: Dance Dance February 24, 2007

This week for Xbox 360 there are four titles that are shipping out. Some will go under our radars as the one title, Bullet Witch recieved awful reviews in Japan and was localized for America. The other title MLB 2K7 somehow was put to ship at 2/26 after an expected release date of somewhere in March. The move was most likely to compete with MLB 07: The Show for Sony’s systems. After a few months of delay we are finally getting to see Dance Dance Revoultion Universe, it’s DDR on 360, count me in! The other title that no one will actually care about is another Japanese title Samuri Warriors 2: Empires (wait didn’t it already come out?)

After last week’s Crackdown this week is pretty good with four releases, do you plan to purchase anything?

  1. Major League Baseball 2K7 – February 26, 2007
  2. DDR: Universe – February 27, 2007
  3. Samurai Warriors 2: Empire – February 27, 2007
  4. Bullet Witch – February 27, 2007

Oh yeah, Crackdown is free when you buy the Halo 3 beta key – switch that the Halo 3 beta key is free when you purchase Crackdown. NBA Street Homecourt is a good title too but may be lost by some in the Halo 3 beta hype Crackdown hype. What games do you plan on purchasing? Full release schedule below with ESRB rating.

  1. Crackdown with Halo 3 Beta Key (M) – February 20, 2007
  2. NBA Street Homecourt (E) – February 20, 2007

Shipping Out is going for two weeks in a row! This week Shipping Out is Fuzion Frenzy 2 tommorow and Battlestations Midway later this week. The title is how the announcer said it in Fuzion Frenzy 1, this will be a pretty good game to. I would’ve posted this yesterday but wanted confirmation from Gamerscoreblog on wheter or not it was actually releasing. I didn’t hear back but expect it will release. There is no HYPE at ALL. But it is a pretty good game judging from the demo.

  • Fuzion Frenzy 2 – Shipping Out on 1/30/07
  • Battlestations MidwayShipping Out on 1/30/07

All title shipping information is from EB Games, blame them not me if the game gets delayed  as Fuzion Frenzy 2 was from November to now (Toys R Us was still advertising it two weeks after it was delayed as being out.)

After a long absence Shipping Out is back at Live Gamer! This week there will only be one release during the post holiday lull in NCAA March Madness 2007 for Xbox 360. The title currently has a free Adam Morrison Theme on Xbox Live Marketplace so everyone knows. I’ll try to post Shipping Out every week on Sunday from now on. Also this week there is kind of a big release on PC called World Of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade tonight if you haven’t heard.
