Almost every major game release and some even crappy games get limited collector’s editions now. So to join the amount of Collector’s Editions is GTA IV. It’s in a metal safety deposit box with an art book, soundtrack CD, a Rockstar keychain, and Rockstar duffel bag. All this can be yours for the price of $89.99.

Two More to Arcade…. Classics Again- May 22, 2007

Following a recent trend two more games will release for XBLA this week. Both games are classic titles. The titles will be Rush ‘n Attack and Xevious. Both titles are 400 Microsoft Points each with the usual additions to arcade classics. Rush ‘n Attack is a sidescroller and Xevious is a shooting game with a vertical view. I’m still waiting for Band of Bugs but I guess a double dose of games isn’t that bad though. If your into classics or impulse buying try these games when they release Wednesday. For more details click here. Since its retro title heres a retro picture of Xevious.

No Halo 3 Beta in Top Ten May 20, 2007

Here’s the Xbox Live Weekly Top 10. Halo 3 Beta is missing from the list because according to Major Nelson it showed up very late in the week. Crackdown will probably be moved up a lot, there were a lot of people waiting to download the beta but in the end it was for the best because the beta was extended four days. The Xbox Live Weekly Top Ten is after the break. Aegis Wing didn’t make the list for some reason, because it was free I thought a lot of people would play it. I guess I was wrong.

Shipping Out: Pirates May 20, 2007

This week there are three titles shipping to stores for the Xbox 360. The first is a recycled edition of Marvel Ultimate Alliance in Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold. It doesn’t state what extras are in it but my guess is downloadable content. Then there’s WarTech: Senko no Ronde, it’s a Japanese mech title. Then there’s Pirates of the Caribbean At World’s End which is a movie licensed game so it will suck but looks to be better then most titles for movie games. All titles are scheduled to ship out 5/22/07 in the United States.

Tommorow, Tommorow – UPDATE May 16, 2007

According to a report by Hexus gaming a source close to Bungie has stated this:

“A source close to Bungie tells us they’ve had huge problems with the server that unlocks the client to those who have a copy of Crackdown and that it will be some time before the problem is rectified; it’s been suggested that the client download may not be available until tomorrow.”

Everybody waited anxiously for the beta, then it doesn’t work. It should’ve been handled properly but wasn’t. Xbox Support is even stating the beta will be released tommorow. They were advertising the beta on IGN and everywhere, then the hype goes south and beta doesn’t work. I say the beta should be extended another week. If the Halo 3 Beta isn’t released by tommorow, well the there’ll be many more complainers.

*UPDATE* Frank has posted an update, the Microsoft team has identified the issue and it will be fixed within three to six hours. I’ll be in bed so no Halo 3 beta today for me.  This was a bad mistake, it should’ve been noticed at first. A title update will be issued to correct the issue within three to six hours. The beta is almost here for Crackdown owners. So how does Bungie make this up? EXTEND THE BETA A WEEK!

Just so you know the Halo 3 beta is know being assigned its own category due to the amount of posts on it. Know there is something new, the Crackdown option to play Halo 3’s beta is currently not working. The beta was supposed to be kicked off at 8:00 A.M. EST today but did not for owners of Crackdown. All other users are unaffected. People really care about the game because Major Nelson has altered his look to just text because of the amount of people looking for why the beta won’t work. Stay tuned here for updates for when the Live team Cracks the Code to get Crackdown to let Halo 3’s Beta be downloaded.
